Adrian Calamel: Expert on Middle Eastern History and Terrorism
Adrian Calamel is a lifelong student of Middle East/Near East history, culture and international relations. Recognizing a dangerous comprehension gap regarding terrorist networks, sources of terrorism and the Middle East writ large among the American populace, Adrian left a successful career in the private sector to pursue an MA in Middle Eastern History after losing a close friend in the 9/11 attacks.
For over a decade he instructed university students history of the Middle East, modern terrorism, and contemporary topics such as the Arab/Israeli conflict. In January 2022 he left academia to focus on educating a wider audience, writing books for the average American reader that explain the evolution and dangers of terrorism. His first book will examine the Lockerbie Disaster and the geopolitical cover-up to exonerate Hafez Assad, Ayatollah Khomeini and pin the 1988 terrorist attack on Qaddafi’s Libya.
Additionally, Adrian has written articles covering a range of topics for various outlets, including Middle East Forum’s focus on Western Islamism. He has been featured in The Levant News, The Washington Outsider and made appearances on Manoto TV, WION, NewsX, aNews, Al Qahera, NDTV, Azerbaijan Broadcasting Co., Times of India…and directly referenced in World Net Daily, Paris Match, Franc Tireur, Ecran De Veille, El Dostor, The Media Line, and La Verità.
